personality... There’s two sides to Clove, both are quite troublesome. The side that is seen most is silly, wild and crazy. Clove loves to cause trouble, and loves to talk people into causing trouble with him. He’s without a doubt, good at getting people to have fun. He’s definitely a talker, and has trouble stopping sometimes. He’s also very open and can be an over-sharer sometimes, but he knows this and usually people don’t mind. Very unconventional and with a strong appreciation for unfamiliar situations, Clove tends to be very impulsive and prone to fantasy. The other side of Clove is…well that he’s easily hurt. He’s a very affectionate person, and once you’re close to him, if you leave he takes it personally. He’s very protective over the people he loves, especially Clover and his family. Clove also has a habit of holding grudges; the more time the situation remains unresolved, the more bitter and brooding he gets. That being said, he takes awhile to get over things, and will often show an extremely introverted side of himself if you’re the one doing the damage. Did I mention that he’s definitely pleasure seeking and seductive? Rawr.

strenghts... His sense of humor and charm gets him places. He loves pleasing people, and making them happy. Race Strengths: Ability to turn into a small, agile, red fox upon a full moon, longer life-span than humans, stronger and more agile during the full moon. Also has the ability to make illusions, thanks to his fae roots
weaknesses... He puts other’s needs ahead of his own, often at his own expense. He doesn’t really think all that logically either.Race Weaknesses : aversion to silver, hurts, leaves scars and is much harder to heal,decapitation, spine trauma, severe head trauma and damage to the heart. The combination of his fae and were heritage gives him the strength of a normal human without the aid of the moon.

background... Clove had come from a big family. Before him and his twin sister, Clover, there were already two, and after them came three more. Even though it was a bit of a financial burden to have so many children, their parents never let it show. They loved their children deeply and they lived comfortably. The entire family is all very close to eachother.

His parents, Helena and Avery met in Edinburgh, after one of his father’s magic shows. Even though, according to Avery, magicians were a thing of the past, his illusions were good enough to entertain those he did them for. They were also enough to entertain Helena, an eager audience member (who could make her own illusions). A conversation between the two took place after, involving Helena begging Avery to show her the technique behind his tricks, but he blatantly refused. Cue initial spark. After dating for a short time, soon they were married and awaiting their first healthy child.

Helena and Avery shared a lot about themselves with each other, and never really held anything back, including the fact that Helena was a fae and Avery was a were fox and not human. In fact, it never really bothered them, they loved her unconditionally. No one outside their family knew about their secret, and everyone had assumed that Helena was Parisian, given her stereotypical traits.

Each of the Dalry children were certainly special. Each one of them had some sort of heightened trait between the two races. Eventually with two children already in post - secondary studies, the two parents had to make a financial decision. The younger children would all be homeschooled to save money, all except Clove. They kept Clove in school because he was thriving there, both in grades and relationships. Clover however, didn't have many friends and they felt it was best that she finish her school at home. Clove was a little peeved, but not for long. If he had to get up at the crack of dawn to go to school, his twin certainly wasn't starting her school at noon!

Clove continued with his schooling right up until his final year in high school. He attended classes (for the most part), played on the school football and rugby teams, and got into trouble. Luckily for him, he’s skilled in the art of persuasion and combined with his charming smile his teacher’s never really punished him. All in all, there wasn’t that much drama in his high school years. He dated, he did well in his classes, he took up smoking, but nothing out of the ordinary. Any drama that had happened in his life, up until recently, happened at the age of fourteen.

Clove doesn’t really like to talk about it, but when he was fourteen he almost killed his baby brother. It was a hot day in the summer, and as per usual the family, even including Clover this time, were at the pond to cool off. Clove had a hold of his six year old brother, Anise. He was being good today, and just as stubborn as usual. Loudly, he exclaimed that he could swim better than anyone else, despite being so young and rarely in the water. Clove doesn’t know exactly how it happened, it was mostly a blur, but all he knew was that at one moment Anise was safe in his arms and then he was in the water swimming deeper and deeper so he could prove his point. He was doing well, that is until he sunk like a stone. Clove was shocked, he didn’t know what to do and froze. Fortunately for the whole family, Clover jumped in and saved his life.Clove was happy, but he was also angry at himself, he would never let anything like that happen ever again.

Recently, at the age of seventeen, some drama had returned to Clove’s life. This time his sister was leaving. It happened so quickly. It seemed as if one night she had come home all excited and the morning after she was going to some supernatual school, or something. Seriously? His sister was ditching him for some group of freaks? It pissed him off. Clove loved his sister and wanted everything for her, but he also didn’t want to be left behind. After the incident at the pond he felt an overwhelming need to step up and protect his family, but how could he protect her if she was so far away? Shortly after her departure, Clove became quiet. He needed to reflect. He needed to deal with his emotions. And above all, he needed to deal with not having his other half around. There is definitely an unbreakable, indescribable bond between twins and Clove and Clover were no different. How could he keep going when it felt like his life force had all been but snuffed out?

It took some time, but Clove managed to bounce back. It was a good thing too, because just after Clover had finished her Christmas visit from her far far away school, things began to change in Clove. It started with illusion, and little ones at that. He’d reach for a pen on a table and when his fingertips all but just touched it, it would disappear. Clove quickly brushed it off as a weary mind and not enough sleep. It kept happening though, with little things, like a remote control or a toothbrush. One day, he went to the frozen pond to try and clear his mind, thinking how nice it would be to be a tree. Just standing there, not having a care in the world. Being eternal and never stopping sounded nice to Clove at that particular moment. He looked down at his feet, but they weren’t there, they were roots. He looked again, and they were back to feet. By this point, Clove had been out at the pond for hours, and was quite bewildered at this point. Luckily for him, his mother began to worry (he had been complaining of a lack of sleep lately) so she went out to find him, and in addition, saw the entire ordeal that had been taking place.

Helena, not worried about what was happening, but more worried for her son, knew what she should do. Clove had a heightened sense of direction and a lot of charm and seduction, she knew, but didn’t quite expect anything like this. Clove had always showed his were-fox side, but not until recently did his fae blood appear strong. It looked like it was time to send Clove to Halcyon. Helena explained the concept of the school to Clove in a little bit more detail, but he still didn't quite understand what it was all about - so of course he was game!
